Use OpenDNS to improve DNS times

FROM COMPUTERWORLD.COMNo matter how big the broadband pipe you use to surf the Web, it's not big enough. Everyone, whether they use a slowpoke dial-up modem or the fastest FiOS line, wants to surf faster.

There's a simple way you can get to Web sites faster, and it won't cost you a penny. You can hack the way your PC uses the Domain Name System (DNS), the technology underlying all Web browsing. It's far simpler to do than you might imagine, as you'll see in this article.

Well, I'm back (hopefully)

After a year which can truly be described as one of the worst of my entire life and a year without any updates to this site, I've decided to return to blogging. So hopefully updates should start appearing shortly. If anyone actually looks at this site, thanks for being patient!

Your Birthday

Stick your Birthday in here Birthday Calculator and find out lots of stuff about it. For instance, one of my interesting facts:
Your age is the equivalent of a dog that is 6.2 years old. (You're still chasing cats!)

GoogleHack

Try this search in Google 'Cam server search' It's amazing some of the things you can Google for! Try a few of the results, some of them won't work, some of them do. It's fun driving someone else's  webcam.  Ok, well I think it is anyway :)

Chinese mirage

Looks almost unbelievable

Thousands of tourists and local residents witnessed a mirage of high clarity lasting for four hours off the shore of Penglai City in east China's Shandong Province on Sunday.

Mists rising on the shore created an image of a city, with modern high-rise buildings, broad city streets and bustling cars as well as crowds of people all clearly visible.
